Boris Armenteros is the founder and lead developer of barmenteros FX, an independent algorithmic trading development practice based in Marbella, Spain. He has been building, optimizing and rescuing MetaTrader trading systems since 2011.
His work centers on one problem: the gap between a strategy that wins in the Strategy Tester and a system that survives live markets. That means state persistence across terminal restarts, broker edge cases, execution timing, and the order-handling failures that backtests never reveal. When we say an approach fails in production on this site, it is because he has seen it fail — and fixed it — in client systems.
Areas of expertise

- EA optimization and production-hardening — fixing backtest-to-live discrepancies
- MT4 → MT5 migration — full architectural adaptation, not recompilation

Working with Boris
Projects start from a clear strategy specification. If you have a strategy and need it implemented — or an existing EA that behaves differently live than it did in backtest — get in touch.
